Overview

Education for the training of both the heart and mind with the power to transform the world through character building, society building and nation building. St. Xavier’s College, the first Jesuit college in Simdega and the second college to be set up by the Society of Jesus of the Ranchi Province has come up within a short span to be one of the important colleges in Jharkhand, providing education with the aim of fostering critical thinking within the students. The college is affiliated to Ranchi University and is managed by XAVIERS RANCHI society.

Grounded in the ideals that inspired our founding fathers, St. Xavier’s College urges students not only to reach out but also to look within, to believe in the power of both expression as well as self-realization so as to inculcate within them the value to introspection and learning. The college educates students in an intercultural environment with the aim to instil within them the need for critical thinking and with the desire to ask questions.
